Brief:
My team and I were tasked with creating a fresh and bold campaign for Dove that broadens the definition of beauty for the next 20 years. The target audience for our campaign is young adults (18-30) and our goal is to position Dove as a brand that inspires women to feel more positive about their natural beauty.
Initial thoughts:
I have appreciated the inclusivity of Dove's campaigns over the years and plan to take inspiration from the phrase “Love the skin you're in.” As the beauty industry continues to grow as well as the body positivity movement I think it's important to keep inclusivity and diversity in mind with this project. With Dove, as a skincare brand, I want to focus on how moisturized and natural skin makes women feel like their most beautiful selves rather than procedures and filters while remaining inclusive.
The Big Idea:
Keeping the initial research and prompt in mind, my team and I wanted to demonstrate the damages of AI, filters, and cosmetic surgery while depicting how Dove promotes natural beauty and in turn self-confidence. For the TikTok ad, I used the headline "Real Skin Feels Good" while keeping the same tagline "Face the truth, You're Beautiful" throughout the campaign.
